DUTIES

Jimi has worked in the financial services industry for nearly four years. He began working with Van Leeuwen & Company as an Equity Research Intern during the summer of 2015 and joined the team in August 2016.

At Van Leeuwen & Company, Jimi works with an investment team that seeks opportunities within capital markets for the benefit of VLC clients and members. By staying abreast of industry news across various sectors and applying fundamental research tactics, Jimi works to evaluate the markets based on trends thereby making investment strategies and solutions available to VLC clients and members.

ABOUT

Prior to joining Van Leeuwen & Company, Jimi worked as a Senior Financial Analyst with S&P Global Market Intelligence (formerly SNL Financial). During his tenure there, Jimi concentrated his efforts within the metals & mining industry focusing on many facets; led an expansion project upon firm acquisition, approved financial reports prior to dissemination and served as a liaison between industry experts to develop and implement greater efficiencies for work flow processes.

Jimi is a CFA Level II candidate in the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) Program. Jimi’s professional association memberships include Net Impact, a global professional organization that is committed to tackling the world’s toughest social and environmental problems. He also served as the Vice President of Finance for Fordham University’s chapter.

Jimi received his MBA in Finance and Information Systems at Fordham University, New York, Gabelli School of Business. Prior to coming to the U.S., Jimi received his MBA from L.J. Institute of Engineering and Technology and his undergraduate degree, BS in Zoology, from St. Xaviers College, Ahmedabad, India.

PASTIMES

Jimi lives in Lawrenceville, NJ. He enjoys cooking and playing cricket. Some of his favorite pastimes include watching television programs that involve forensics as well as staying informed about politics.
